The Executive Chairman, of Odogbolu L.G.A, Hon. (Dr) Babatunde Oyetola Diya, has commissioned the Odogbolu Ultra-Modern Primary Healthcare Centre that has just been revitalized to the global standard in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Odogoblu, District 911, Nigeria.
The commissioning ceremony which took place on Tuesday, 10th June 2025 was conducted on behalf of the Executive Chairman by the Supervisor for Health, Medical and Environment, Hon. Femi Moses Adesanya. The total revitalized Project included but not limited to installation of solar electrification of the facility – an impressive kind gesture of community service and public health support which the Inner Wheel Club is reputed for globally.
In her remarks, President of the Inner Wheel Club, Dr. Esther Oshunluyi expressed heartfelt appreciation to all present and those who contributed to the success of the project. She extended special thanks to Hon. (Dr.) Diya for his swift and impactful support, which enable the Project’s successful completion in record time. The Project is valued at over N10 million.
Representative of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Femi Moses conveyed Dr. Diya’s profound appreciation to the Inner Wheel Club for their enviable commitment to quality healthcare delivery and reaffirmed Chairman’s unwavering passion for improving public health which evident in his laudable people-oriented Initiatives such as:
1. “Iwosan Tunde” Medical Outreach Programme
2. Recruitment of Senior Community Health Extension Workers (SCHEWs)
3. Ongoing renovation of Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across his local government such as Ibefun, Ilado, Idowa, Imodi, Ososa, Ogbo and others located in various Communities.
Hon. Femi also highlighted the recent procurement of critical medical equipments aimed at enhancing the quality and extending the reach of health services across Odogbolu Local Government.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Olusan Oluwaseun, the LG’s Health Secretary commended Inner Wheel Club for complementing the council’s concerted efforts in the healthcare delivery and described the project as laudable and a reflection of effective partnership for community health development which is also a testament to the Chairman’s mandate to deliver real good governance for the benefit of everyone living within and outside his local government area.
The socio-economic important of the Project saw its commissioning attracting top government functionaries from the local, state and federal levels respectively while the event witnessed participation of dignitaries from the private sector, community and religious leaders.
