“When we affirm big, believe big and pray big; big things happen”, this maxim succinctly captures and explains the installation of Chief Ogidan B. M as the Oloritun Olorunsogo of Igbile Kingdom by Oba Kolawole Abdus-Salam, the Jaun Medu, Adekogbe I, Gbadewolu I during his one year on the throne, precisely 26th December, 2025.
The installation, certification and above all, issuance of Staff of Office to Chief Ogidan B. M as the Oloritun Olorunsogo of Igbile Kingdom were done in the palatial palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba Kolawole Abdus-Salam, the Jaun Medu, Adekogbe I, Gbadewolu I.
“The purpose of human life is to serve, show compassion and the will to help others”, Chief Ogidan B. M. is the truest testament to this maxim and it deservedly earned him double Community leadership positions as the Secretary to the Jaun Medu Palace and Oloritun of Olorunsogo Quarters.
Because it is, “The only a person who has faith in himself that is able to be faithful to others”, this is why Chief Ogidan B. M. stood tall among the eminent sons and virtuous daughters of Igbile when the task to break the yoke and sanctify the jinx of Igbile not having a beaded-crown began. He is at the fore-front and equally behind the scene working faithfully and tirelessly not only in making the enthronement a positive reality but progressing the prosperity of Igbile and her people sustainably.
And at a breaking point when all chips seem to have been down, he was the person who suggested naming of “Onigbile of Igbile” as the title for the Obaship Throne of Igbile. He honestly did this christening of Igbile Royal Stool in the presence of only Chief Adejirin, the Otunba Bobajiroro of Igbile.
Just these two men of nobility and integrity birthed that title and announced it to the delight of the whole world. The primary reason for the renaming of, “Igbile Royal Stool” was done in utmost good faith and noblest sincerity of intention when advancing the progressive course was seemingly difficult or becoming practically impossible. Man’s greatness, is therefore lies in his power of thought, “Onigbile of Igbile” is truly great product of Chief Ogidan’s greatness power of thought! And the ancient town is proud of him as their pride.
“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm”, Chief Ogidan’s indefatigability at duties is “second-to-none” while his impeccability at community assignment is “numero uno” at all times. So, when the Screening Committee saddled with the responsibility of finding Igbile sons worthy of being installed as “Oloritun” successfully screened Chief Ogidan, his candidacy nomination has no objection and or contention. He was overwhelmingly considered to be eligible and eminently qualified to be installed as an Oloritun. But because, “The highest reward for man’s toil is not what he gets for it but what he becomes by it”, Chief Ogidan remains till date, the first “Oloritun” to be deservedly installed and certificated by HRM Oba Kolawole Abdus-Salam, The Jaun Medu of Igbile.
He is however faithfully and sincerely wished, long live and prosperity in sound health and abundant wealth so he can be able to discharge his sacred roles and responsibilities for the betterment of his people and development of Igbile Kingdom as one of the Quarters’’ community leaders.
