Oba Kolawole Abdus-Salam, the Jaun Medu, Adekogbe I, Gbadewolu I
Salaam Alaikum Waramotulai Wabarakatuhu,
It’s with the heart full of thanksgivings, praises and adorations to Almighty Allah that I joined the Igbile Muslim Community and the entire Muslims Worldwide in joyfully celebrating this year’s “Eid-Adha” popularly known as, “Ileya” in our language.
As we all know, celebrating “Ileya” isn’t merely about “wining and dining” by slaughtering rams, cows and others according to Islamic Rite but a true reflection and contrition of what brought about the “Ileya Celebration” which are: Solemnly keeping to good promises, sacrifices with pure intentions, and selfless services to humanity.
And in keeping with the Divine ideas and humane ideals of where “Ileya” celebration does not discriminate against any religion and faith that “Ojude Oba” was initiated and has been customarily practiced from time immemorial.
Since we cannot abandon the ideals of “Ileya” and or afford to separate ourselves from the nice ideas behind the introduction and systematic upholding of “Ojude Oba” that we are all gathering here today to joyously celebrate together.
Now that we too have our own King, we can proudly share the love and live the good life of a prosperous Community with a revere King on the ancestral throne.
So, in the communal spirit that I urge all the illustrious and eminent sons and daughters of Igbile to kindly continue to “Act Well Our Own Parts” respectively. In fact, may Allah continue to bless and enrich the “brains” of the good people who conceptualized the inspirational Motto that remains timely useful and relevant till date for “Parako United Primary School”.
The essence of ancestral Throne occupied by a Monarch like “Jaun of Igbile” is for the traditional institution to act as a good “Point of Reverence”, veritable “Rallying Point” and revere “Father-Figure” in advancing the Community rapid growth and sustainable development in the best interest of all and sundry. Let’s make and mark this day as a “Grand Day” in our respective diaries and not only begin to promote OJUDE OBA Igbile but propagate the dawn of new progressive era that’s manifesting in Igbile where we are and whenever we can. I believe we “CAN DO MORE” and in the “Collective Responsibility” for Igbile to attain the enviable greater heights we all desire and have been dreaming of, I, Oba KOLAWOLE ABDUSSALAM, JAUN OF IGBILE enjoin us to imbibe the productive and constructive Spirit of “T.E.A.M – Together Everyone Achieve More”. Ire O!
“Igbega Igbile, ajose GBOGBO wa ni”. Aseyi Se’ amodun. Oju wa a ma ri ayo, idunu and agbega nibikibi ti GBOGBO OMO Igbile ba wa ninu owo nla ati alafia repete pelu Agbara Allah. Jaun a tun bo ma gbe GBOGBO wa O! Amiin.
