Let There Be Light and all the evil principalities and agents of darkness shall vanish!
The installation of His Royal Highness, Oba Kolawole AbdusSalaam, Adekogbe, Jaun of Igbile seems to be institutionalizing this divine commandment upon Igbile as the town is fast departing from perpetual darkness to sustainable total lightness at night and day time. That of the day time is being made possible by the “Light Up Project” through which the entire town is being illuminated by street lights powered by renewable solar energy.
The “Light Up Project” is a collective responsibility of the entire sons, daughters, friends and well-wishers of the town willingly contributing within their financial capacities in ensuring solar street lights are installed on all available poles in Igbile thereby banishing darkness from its land.
Solar street lights can be installed in any location with access to sunlight. They do not require any external power source and can be installed in remote areas where electricity is unavailable or expensive. There are many advantages of Solar Street Lights among which are:
- Greater Cost-Effectiveness
- Carbon Emission Reduction
- Lower Electricity Dependency
- Emergency Utility
- Extended Lifespan
- Reduced Maintenance Costs
- Enhanced Night Visibility for Safety
- More Affordable Installation
- Off-Grid Capability
- They are environmentally friendly, have low installation costs, and produce a high-quality light.
- Smart, Multi-functional Features
- The cost of installing solar street lights is very low compared to other forms of lighting, such as conventional electric lamps, which require a lot of overhead for maintenance and installation costs.
- Solar street lights also have a longer lifespan than the conventional streetlights.
- Why choose solar street lights?
They can last up to 10 years without any need for maintenance. This is because the solar panels on these lamps capture the sun’s energy, store it, and use it for illumination at night. In addition, these lamps have a lower power consumption rate compared to regular streetlights.
The benefits of solar street lights are endless, and above all, they are an easy solution to help our community become greener and save money. With the whole world aiming to become energy-efficient and sustainable, things such as solar street lights might very well be one of the first steps in that direction.
Meanwhile, Igbile can be powered beyond street lightening alone as all the critical assets and infrastructural facilities within the Community can be powered through solar and there shall be light everywhere.
And now that Igbile Town has joined the elite towns being illuminated by solar energy, it is no doubt that the reign of Oba Kolawole AbdusSalaam shall surely herald rapid growth and sustainable development to the entire landscape of the town and her people in general.
- Long Live HRH Oba Kolawole AbdusSalaam, Jaun of Igbile
- Long Live all sons and daughters of Igbile
- Long Live Igbile Town
